Liebster Award Acceptance and Nominations

This morning I checked my email and was delighted to find that Tash from The Velvet Moon Baker nominated me for the Liebster Award!  It is very sweet of her to think of me and my blog and I am so thankful to her and happy to accept this award!  It is a bit of fun for up and coming bloggers with fewer than 200 members.  Like Tash, I am happy to join in on the fun!  

The requirements for accepting this award are that the nominee must nominate 11 other up and coming bloggers, share 11 facts about their self, and answer 11 questions from the person who nominated them.  I would like to begin by answering Tash's questions:

1. Where do you want to be in 5 years time?

I don't want to think about 5 years from now because that means my little girl will be 15 preparing to get her driver's permit and my youngest will be 10... the age my oldest is now!  BUT to answer the question I would have to say that I would love to see my cupcake business prospering.  Most of all though I would just love for my family to be healthy, happy, and fulfilling their dreams!

2. What's your most precious possession?

My engagement ring.  I still remember it like it was yesterday when my husband proposed to me.  Where we were, the way the air smelled, the feeling of surprise, and the look in his eyes.  When he slipped this ring upon my finger I felt like a princess.  It is a gorgeous ring.  I like to say that even on my "ugliest" day as long as I have my ring on I feel like a beauty.

3. Did you have an imaginary friend as a child?

Kind of... I am not sure if she was really my imaginary friend or if I was just seeking attention.  Her name was "Melissa" or was it Samantha... anyway she lived under the couch! LOL

4. What is your dream job?

Hmm... I guess I kind of have many.  As long as it is doing what makes me happy and there are quite a few things that make me happy.   I went to college though for theater and dance and found that it was not really meant for me to do professionally... but I guess if I could just dance all day... even as a dance teacher... that would be pretty amazing!

5. What's your favourite takeaway splurge?

My favorite splurge would be... really nice clothes.  As a full time mommy and baker I wear a lot of active mom clothes that I can run to the store in, or work out in, or do 100 loads of laundry in... and of course bake in!  When I go out shopping though and I see a beautiful shirt and a great looking pair of expensive skinny pants I sigh and think... "One day..." :)

6. What's your favourite colour?

I love green!  It's definitely my favorite color.

7. If you could try anything in the whole world, What would it be?

I would try to be the best person, wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, volunteer, child of God, cousin, aunt, one day grandmother, baker, the list just goes on...anything I can be or attempt to be I really want to know that I have tried to do my best at it. To really know I gave it my all.

8. What's the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Put some type of sweatshirt or sweater on.

9. What would be your favourite way to spend a Saturday night?

Hmmm... I am not totally sure... but it would involve a night out with my husband and the kiddos all doing something really fun together with zero complaining!  Everybody just happy, happy, happy!

10. What's the craziest thing you would do for 1 million Euro?

Hmmm... this is a hard question Tash!  I just don't know!  I want to say that I would do something like serenade a complete stranger publicly or something but that isn't really that crazy!  

11. What's your most favourite thing about yourself?

That I have been blessed to stay home with all 3 of my kiddos for the past 10 years.  I have had a job here and there but they have always been something that either allowed me to bring my kiddos with me or only kept me away from them for an hour or 2 every week or so.  I have been very blessed.  I was just thinking about that earlier today.  I don't have the newest car, high tech devices, or fanciest clothes... but I have been so blessed to be able to say that I have not missed much at all- if any at all,  of my kiddos' childhood.  That is just something that can never be replaced.
